Ro’ya School

We are thrilled to announce the completion of two full semesters at the Ro’ya School! October 31, 2024, marked the last day of the second semester, and we couldn’t be prouder of what’s been accomplished. Despite the ongoing genocide, over 1,800 resilient students were able to continue their education in math, Arabic, and English. Their determination and love for learning remind us daily of the power of education in the face of adversity.

But the Ro’ya School is more than just academics. We are committed to nurturing a deep sense of cultural identity and pride among our students. Throughout the semester, we hosted vibrant cultural performances that celebrated Palestinian heritage. These performances offer students an opportunity to connect with their roots and express themselves creatively.

The growth in enrollment reflects the growing need for safe, stable educational spaces for children. To meet this demand, we will be undertaking essential renovations to expand our capacity and improve the conditions of our learning spaces. Over the past six months, the wear and tear on our tents has highlighted the need for more durable structures to support the growing community.

None of this would be possible without the generosity and support of our community in the NC Triangle Area. We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Triangle community for all their support. Your contributions make it possible for us to create safe, inspiring learning environments where children can dream, grow, and thrive.
